On 10 December 2019,
I celebrated my mother’s birthday with great pomp and show. I invited all my
near and dear ones to attend the birthday bash. I got printed some beautiful
invitation cards that were parcel tape inspired.
You might be left with a question that ‘A
TAPE’?
How this could be an inspiration?
Well,
there is another story behind this. When I visited the printing shop, he
suggested a few themes to select one. But, all were already seen or appeared
boring to me. I was about to quit with this ideology of cards with some
inspiration but finally saw a printed tape and pallet wrap which
were kept on his desk; might be for packaging purpose. The time I saw these, an
idea struck my mind.
Actually,
I was looking for something unique that has never been tried so far, so decided
to try this commonly found item as an inspiration for invitation cards. I was
quite sure about my choice and asked him if this could be possible. He said
yes. I was over the moon with this different piece of art that I am going to
add to my mom’s birthday party.
I
gave him the order for 100 cards and paid some amount in advance as a token.
After 2 days, I got a call from his side regarding cards. I was very excited to
see the parcel tape inspired cards.
I
just took my keys and fled to the shop. It hardly took 20 minutes to reach. He
greeted me in a soft tone; I smiled and greeted him back in the way as I have
to catch a train. The excitement of seeing the cards was so intense that I even
forgot my manners. However, I apologized for it and again greeted him softly.
He
too smiled and kept the bundle of cards in front of me. It was an amazing job
done by him. These parcel tape cards looked so beautiful and
interesting that I can’t take off my eyes from them. I do not want to disclose
the design as promised to him just to avoid duplicity.
I
thanked him in abundance and handover the rest of the payment happily. He was
so down to earth that he too thanked me for opening the doors of the brain to
think beyond the imagination.
The party went well.
My mom was on cloud nine as she was the centre of attraction. I felt happy to
see her happy.
All my kith and kin praised
the designing of the cards and wished to do the same; for their future
occasions.
